To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the historic overland expedition led by Juan Bautista de Anza, SCVHS will be placing two new historical markers in our Valley.

An October 23rd celebration will be held for the Anza Expedition:  A Journey of Enduring Hope marker at Punta de los Llanos, Campsite #16  near the Llano Grande trailhead on Quail Crossing Blvd. 

Our Journey: Juan Bautista de Anza Expedition marker, showcasing the Anza Expedition’s historic travel route through the Valley on their march to the San Xavier del Bac Mission, will be dedicated October 26th at the Anza Trail School on Rancho Sahuarita Blvd.
